Alfacalcitol can increase calcium reabsorption in small intestine and renal tubules, inhibit parathyroid hyperplasia, reduce parathyroid hormone synthesis and release, and inhibit bone resorption; Increase the synthesis of transforming growth factor-B (TGF-B) and insulin-like growth factor-I (1GF-I), and promote the synthesis of collagen and bone matrix protein; Regulate muscle calcium metabolism, promote muscle cell differentiation, enhance muscle strength, increase neuromuscular coordination and reduce falling tendency.
